Clean Room designs – innovation and flexibility
Viessmann’s
ingenious mono-block wall system is designed to facilitate the construction
of flexible and efficient clean room applications. This versatile concept
is based around sandwich panels.
Sandwich panel design
Each sandwich panel features a 0.6 mm thick, galvanized and powder coated steel sheeting for guaranteed long life and stability; an aluminium profile is worked into the panel for air-circulation purposes. The core of the sandwich contains polyurethane foam or mineral wool as compression-proof filling and insulating material.
Panels are available in 200 – 1200 mm widths with heights up to 3600 mm. There is no problem where greater heights are needed although additional static reinforcement of the construction may be necessary. Media channels can be incorporated in the 100, 200 and 300 mm widths without problems.
Panel joints are sealed with silicone or acryl to ensures the seal remains permanently elastic.
Cable channels can be allocated between the individual wall elements horizontally or vertically. These can be opened at any time and enable the laying of supply lines up to a diameter of 45 mm at any time.
A flexible mono-block wall system for clean rooms and sensitive production
areas
The individual elements, walls, windows and doors fit together seamlessly, using a specially developed clip-in-system, ensuring complete flexibility, whatever the size and application of the clean room. Windows and doors can be supplied in a variety of versions, from flush fitting window constructions via one or two leaf wing doors to manual or automatic sliding doors.
Attention is paid to the smallest details - for example the doors feature an innovative lock design, which utilises an electro-magnetic closing mechanism controlled by a specially developed control system. Locks can be supplied in any required size and can be fitted with a connection for fresh air and waste air.
Ceilings
Ceiling panels are finished with a tongue-and-groove system up to a width of 1200 mm and feature the same sandwich design as the wall panels.
The
overhanging span is 2500 mm for mineral wool and 6000 mm for PUfoam. For
larger spans or walk-on ceilings, the elements must be mounted on the constructed
ceiling with the supplied suspensions.
Retro-fitting of lamps, air vents and other accessories is possible.
Windows
Various window dimensions are available, from 400 to 1200 mm width and 400 to 2000 mm height in a 200 mm grid – other non-standard sizes can be supplied on request. You also have a choice of glazing options - float glass, single pane safety glass or multilayer glass. Joins to the wall elements are rendered permanently elastic by grouting with silicone.
All windows are supplied as sealed units, so that they cannot be contaminated internally during clean room assembly.
Doors
Flexible one- or two-leaf clean room wing-doors consist of galvanized and powder coated steel sheets. Pressure-resistant insulating material polyurethane foam or mineral wool is employed and the doors adapt seamlessly to individual room requirements.
Doors
can be optionally equipped with an automatic sink seal in the threshold.
All doors offer three maintenance free door bands which can be adjusted
three-dimensionally.
Door fitting fabrication is in aluminium as standard, although stainless steel is an alternative option. Similarly surface-flush glazing or Dorma type over-door closers are possible.
Technology to protect against bacteria and fungi
The majority of infections occur through contact with contaminated surfaces. Of course cleaning and disinfection will remove microorganisms but cannot prevent recontamination through further contact. So scientists at Viessmann have now developed a product that will contribute significantly to hygiene - SilverProtec. Click to find out more about clean room benefits of SilverProtec.
